Weird pinging sound!!

Weird pinging sound!! When i turn off my car it sounds like theres ping-pong ***** inside the motor, almost like popcorn popping. But this only happens immediately after i turn off the car. Any suggestions? I tried searching but came up with nothing realted to my situation. Thanks

maybe the exhaust exspanding and contracting (kinda a tiny popping noise.... i have noticed this on a few cars never put it like a sound of ping pong ***** though

It's the sounds of hot metal cooling off. Nothing to worry about. Unless it sounds like someone is hitting a vice w/ a hammer, then that's not good. It's more the exhaust. I don't believe that aluminum does that.
