Default Bottom end girdle

Does the stock LS1 girdle fit an LQ9 block with a stroker crank??
Do you know what I am talking about? The crank cover on the bottom of the motor found above the oilpan.
Am I calling that that wrong thing??

I believe you are talking about the windage tray, a girdle is something that is going to attach all the botom end together, the good ones use the block bolts(read oil pan) and al l the main cap bolts.

ify ou are using a LS1 oil pan, i believe you have to change the windage tray, I know you can use it, im not sure on the 4" crank though. I believe usually spacers are used however im not 100% on that.
thanks

Okay, I am going to grab some pics of things here I think.

There was a cover on the bottom end, bolted onto the main caps. The oil pick up was also bolted on it. Looks like it would come close to the crank....should I just fit it on the new motor and see?? What would enough clearance be?

So will the windage tray from an LS1 fit a stroked LQ9??
Should I just check clearance?
