Not if you price out the parts.

Cam ~390-400
Springs ~160-260 (Depending on springs)
PR's ~110
Tit.Retainers ~160 (If wanted w/ single springs)
_____________
760 w/ dual springs
820 w/ single springs and retainers

Then you add in some other things that lots of ppl do too:
Timing chain 30-215
Valve locks ~35
Gaskets etc. ~45-55
Oil pumps, under drive pulleys ...
.... It can add up real fast as I've found out gathering parts for my install this weekend

Just parts if you do it yourself..... maybe 110 for a nice spring tool and some bars from Home Depot for the lifters.

Then charge all your buddys 20 bucks to help do cam swaps and your set.

That's what I did.....

I think 700 to 1000 way too high. I was quoted somewhere like 450 from TSP. But I went ahead and did myself to save so I had more for other mods.
