Default Yet another Cam Question...

First Time poster, been lurking for awhile.

The other forum I frequent is great, but it seems like there are a lot of folks here with cam knowledge. (some of you guys change cams like I change underwear )

I have a 2002 Corvette Coupe. A4 tranny, 2.73 gears. Cold Air intake, shorty headers, exhaust.
"
The thread title says it all, another open-ended "what cam should I get" question.

-I WILL NOT change the rear end. I like it.
-I WILL NOT change the torque converter.
-This is a daily driver, approx. 10,000 miles per year.
-After tuning, I still want my car to break idle under 1000rpms.
-I am willing to get a longtube header package to go with it.
-I am willing to sacrifice power to maintain great driveability.
-I don't want a cam with .600 lift.

Here are some of the cams I was considering:

Thunder Racing 220/220 .551/.551 114LSA
Thunder Racing 224/224 .563/.563 114LSA
Thunder Racing 224/227 .563/.569 114LSA
GM Hot Cam 218/227 .525/.525 112LSA
Comp Cams 212/218 .522/.529 114 LSA
Comp Cams 216/220 .525/.532 114 LSA
Comp Cams 218/224 .527/.534 114 LSA
Lunati Cam 221/221 .558/.558 114 LSA
MTI Stealth I 220/220 .581/.581 115 LSA
MTI G1 228/232 .588/.575 113 LSA
MTI R1 232/236 .575/.578 114 LSA

The car will be supercharged in about 9 months. I'd like to not have to change cams twice.

Well, now that I've listed a ton of cams and a ton of demands, someone try to clear up the picture for me!

Also, what is the effect of higher or lower LSA? What is better for engine wear and driveability?

What, exactly, do you have against high lift??? Why won't you change the torque converter?

Read the cam guide sticky!
