Pushrod length sanity check

Check my research...

225 AFRs unmilled
.043 compressed gaskets
stock rockers/lifters
.030 smaller base circle cam

I come up with 7.401 Sound right?

I would do a 7.350 with that combo. Stock is a 7.400 with a .052 gasket. If your .030 under on the cam and .009 on the gasket then the small 7.350 would be close enough for stock lifters.

Interesting...my stockers measured 7.375 (7.38) on my dial caliper.

Well then .039 decrease in head and gasket =7.375-.039=7.336 Seems like the 7.350 would work fine.

Yeap that is correct 7.40 p-rods is what you need.

Calcs:

7.38+0.030=7.410
7.410-0.009= 7.401
> 7.40 are your p-rod length needed.
