Oil Additives. Does anyone have any studies or proof that they do or don't work? I've been searching on the site for a while and haven't found any real answers except for opinions on the subject of additives. I've been using ProLong in my car for the past year every time I change the oil along with Mobil 1. The idea of something sticking to the metal for lubrication when the oil isn't there just seems to make sense. But does anyone have any evidance that these claims are for real?
