i think i rev'd to high on the interstate racing a s-charged s2k, i thought mabye i broke a spring or floated a lifter or bent a pushrod but i checkd springs out and none of them look broke and the noise is coming from the number 2 piston. The other day I loosen'd the bolts on my headers and cranked it up and it sounds like the valve is hitting the piston. What would cause this if the springs are fine. Could one of the valves be bent not letting it come back up in time to clear the piston? kinda confused on this one.. any help would be appreciated

Did you check the pushrods. Take them out and roll them across a flat piece of glass.
Also make sure all of your rocker arms are tight to 22 ft. lbs.
If you over revved it is possible that a valve came in contact with the piston.
Do you have stock cam and valve train?

yaa its all stock , i bought dual spring kit, hardened pushrods, and new lifters , hopefully that will fix the problem. i guess while i have the heads off i might as well change cam,oil pump and do a dual timing kit.
hey zracer how is the lope on your F14 ? i cant decide between f13 or f14 . I want something with a nice deep lope.
