Default whats too loose

For clearances for main bearing my spec sheet says I show a low of .0024 and as high as .0027. On the sheet that shows rod bearing clearances it shows the lowest at .0023 with the highest at .0027. I am having oil pressure problems when hot. It will only idle at 20 PSI and during hard accelerations when you shift the pressure drops them climbs back up never exceeding just over 40psi. Im being told that the tolerances are loose. My question is are they too loose?

if its with-in the boundries, start checking other things.. almost sounds like the oil pump is having trouble. i dont know man, i doubt its the bearings.
