Default shafiroff ls1 short block

schwing!

i've bought a couple motors from these guys, they kick ***. the 555 pro-series motor in my chevelle is on it's 4th season of nitrous passes, and just this past year i put a new set of valvesprings on it. other than that i haven't touched it. 7600rpm shifts, nitrous, street duty, (pretty rare) and it still runs like clockwork.

Prolly is self adveertisment but they've been around for a while and at least with Gen I SBC they got a good rep. Prolly would'nt hurt to check it out.

There is a popular head manufacturer that doesn't dislike them. And, they offer a warranty on their sleeved blocks. I believe they use Darton and I am told the machine work is done by a very reputable outfit. I would prolly consider them, but I prefer working with a shop within a day's drive of me.

They have a great reputation in the SBC world. I saw pricing for their 427 ls1...7 grand. That's a deal with warrantied block too.
