paging Patman Im wondering you option on the Pennzoil Platinium? Im a manager of a lube shop and we are a Pennzoil shop in fact our owner is thePennzoil distribter for our area so i get a lot of propganda for Pennzoil and i would like to know something from someone not with Pennzoil.I have been told that M1 is from base 2 stock and most other others or from base 1 stock or so i have been told.I know US syntec in not what i call a true synethic its from mineral oil that has been prcessed.But to my orginal qusetion have toy had any experince with the platinum?

Pennzoil platinum uses a group 3 hydrocracked petroleum base stock, so it's not a true synthetic. Mobil 1 is still using a fully synthetic PAO base stock (group 4).
This new Pennzoil hasn't been out all that long so I haven't seen any oil analysis results on it yet.
