I'd go with something like Castrol 5w40 or Amsoil 5w40. Both of these should do very well (esp the Amsoil)

Would that 5w40 work down here in the Texas heat? My buddy runs Amsoil in his Cobra, and likes it. I'm still with Mobile 1 (5w30), and have no complaints except a little rattle upon start-up occasionally. We've had 100 degree weather recently, and I am concerned. The car has 36k on it. Suggestions?
