Yet another oil pump question
Yet another oil pump question Ok, I did the search bit and found several threads talking about the later oil pump (casting number 12556436) and how that casting number is found in the 2001+ pumps.
My understanding is that the problem where the engines lose oil pressure occurs with the 2000 and previous engines.
Now, I've got a 2000 engine but the oil pump does have casting number 12556436 cast into it. Can anyone confirm that I do indeed have the later pump or would I have that casting number either way?
