new to this stuff, need some buying guides hey guys,
I'm goina add a cam to my bird this winter. I emailed Thunder Racing and and Mallett out of Ohio about what they suggest. I didn't know whether or not I would need heads to go along with my cam. Or if I can reach my goal on cam alone
You can see my mods in my sig, (nitrous should be 150 shot). My goal is 450+hp N/A
just a cam? head and cam?

450 rwhp NA will require heads and cam or a BIG cam and fast 90/90 (LSX intake with matching size throttle body..) with stock heads. I'd go fast/heads/cam.
Cam only, LS6 intake in an M6 you are most likely looking at 380-420 cam only. It's hard to say exactly, depends on the individual car, cam selection, if you upgrade to LSX intake and who tunes it.
Get yourself a ported throttle body (or have yours ported) and pick up an underdrive pulley while you're at it.
