Default Cam change....how much of a diff?

Right now I got a HotCam and I plan on throwing in a 224/228 cam. The Hotcam is a 218/227 with 525/525 lift. The new one has a 581/588 lift and both on a 112lsa. I dont wanna go much bigger because its an everyday driver and I use it for work. Just wondering how much of a diff it will make and if its worth dont the change. Its an easy change so thats not the issue. I was initially gonna throw in a 228/228 on a 114 but my friends a bud and gave me a deal on this other one which is barely used.

yes its worth it, the XE-R lobe has alot more lobe area, just compare .100+ on the 228 hotcam lobe vs the 224 xe-r lobe.

did you ever dyno yoursetup after you put the heads on, i was curious how you made out?

thanks Jrp. As for the dyno, I didn't yet because the shop that does my dynoing moved and they have yet to set it up at the new shop. Something about leveling the floor. I will though and I'll let you know. I wanna do it before I change the cam so I hope they set it up soon.
