Default oil pumps

is porting a stock 01 up pump good enough or do i need to get an aftermarket one

Unless you are going 7K rpm +, stock pump will be more than enough. All LSx pumps are LS6 pumps right now.

How is the Melling pump working for you? And did you get a 295 or a 296?
