Default ASA cam question

I am thinking pretty seriously about getting the ASA hotcam. I know it's on a 110 LSA, and this is a 98 A4 car. Im going to have it tuned at Speed Inc. after the install. My question is what drivability concerns am I going to have. Im gonna have a conertor in the car, and a set of 3.73 gears, and there is no A/C. I love the sound of a really choppy cam, and I like the fact of the lower lift being a little easier on springs. I was just wondering if with the tune, will I still have to worry about the car dying on me at lights, or when it is just sitting somewhere idleing? Also I was planning on getting the Scoggin Dickey valve springs for it with the Titanium retainers. Are these a good spring for it, or should I just get the LS6 springs?
Thanks
Bill

Let put it this way, my 248/254 568/571 cam on a 110Ls idles better than the TR224 cam I had. It does idle a lot more choppy but It rarely dies on me and I can drive it on traffic with out a hitch. I have STOCK tuning too. I have a auto trans and a good stall.

The only bad thing it after idleing for about 20 minutes it somtimes loadsup a little. Just a little rev will clean out the cylinders just fine though.

You will not have much of a problem at all.

Cool, thanks.
Anyone else? Also how much of a difference in power would I be looking at between getting it tuned, and keeping stock tune?

Had another question on the ASA cam. For the people who are running or have run this cam, Did you use stock length push rods? If not, what size does it call for?

Beg to differ --- I have heard the 224 XE-R cam in two different LS1's, & I could hear the "cam" a mile away in a thunderstorm. Both cars surged badly at idle, & smelled like an oil refinery. Maybe they smooth out a lot after tuning --- sure hope so.
