I've been checking on this site every now and again, too bad it's not getting updated liek you said. There's a video clip on there of a motorcycle with this system on it. The sound quality of the clip is very poor, otherwise I would have loved to see how different it sounded. There was talk on another forum of a 85'-style 350 revving up to 14,000rpms with this head on it. Little skeptical..
haha, mabye 14k rpm one time - and then it exploded, lol. I hope to see more electromechanical valvetrains in the future. Think - an infinitely variable valvetrain. press one button, and your engine idles like stock. Press another and the lift and duration changes to make it a pro-stocker, lol.

The springs necessary to run high rpm pushrod motors can soak up a LOT of horsepower. It's a shame this hasn't gone anywhere, it's really a great idea
Imagine a supercharged version of this. With a motor that spins more than twice what a normal motor will, you'd only have to have a supercharger with half the input shaft speed.

i remember reading about that b4 too. it(if it really works like they say), along with a few other technologies could really improve the engine dramatically. especially considering that our engines are basically a fancy 60s engine

Why have it operated off a press button, adding new advanced technology to a age old one? I would rather have the "valve" size/duration based off sensor readings, like rpm vs. g/sec vs. MAP, etc...still elctromechanically adjustable but not pushing buttons. Maybe have a switch for performance and normal!
