I would spray them. I sprayed mine, with no problems. You take a big chance if you don't.

If the Cometics are not sprayed supposedly they are reusable, which I think some would question. Sprayed, not reusable.

They actually are reusable even if you sprayed them, a lot of people have reused em. The only downside to spraying them is cleaning the crap off the mating surfaces each time you take the heads off and put em back on to get a good seal. If you don't foresee that happening too much, then go ahead and spray them. But, if you are gonna be pulling them frequently, might as well try it without spraying b/c you're gonna be pulling them a lot anyways so it can't hurt. I personally sprayed mine the first time and haven't had any problems. I played it safe b/c I didn't see my heads coming off anytime soon. Up to you though.

Make sure you really clean the block and heads of the old gasket, I mean with a razor or you'll probably leak. Also make sure you put them on correctly. No sealant is needed or recommended.

Billy Anderson over on Turbobuick.com (who builds 8 second turbo regals) says his first install is dry, and he reuses up to four times with the reuses being sprayed with a light coat of Hylomar.

Well using them a 3rd time with spraying is like using them the first time with spraying. So, that just proves you can do it either way, but if you want to play it extra safe, then spray it. They are reuseable both ways.

I didnt spray mine and they are leaking slightly which Im removing the heads again this week to probably just ditch the Cometics and go back to GM MLS gaskets.

I didn't spray them when they were new (i.e. the first time I used them). I sprayed them the second time. No leaks either way.

Spray lightly and reuse several times, as long as deck and heads are clean and flat
