If i were you i would go with the 205 heads i think that would be a good choise and then i would put in a x3 on a 114 and then spray a 150 at it.Your car will scoot without a doubt.thats if the rest of your drive line is up to it

Actually, it will pull harder with the 4.10s than with stock gears, no matter what. It's a mechanical advantage thing...

Check out this Futral link. (http://www.futralmotorsports.com/fms....asp?pf=1&pg=5)Their cam page is helpful because it describes the idle characteristics and RPM power band of each cam. After doing a ton of research, it was really these two factors that mattered most in the end. I wanted a big lope, (rough idle), and good low-end power, so I chose the F13 (112+4 LSA; I didn't notice which tranny you had, but if it's an A4, then pick a 114 LSA) with 2500-6800 rpm power range. Dang that's a big power curve. My decision has been pretty well confirmed by lots of posts I've read since. You can see from the web page above that Futral sells AFR heads, so give them a call , and ask about a package, or at least if they think the 205s and their F13 are well suited to each other. 'course I think I know the answer already, but they can probably offer alternatives I'm not smart enough to.

I think it would be reasonable to expect 100-110 HP from the Heads and Cam together, which in my case would be right about 440 HP, but you could just about gurantee it if you added an LS6 or FAST intake when you swap the heads. One good thing about picking the 224 now is that it's probably a better cam to add forced induction to later. Some cams are advertised as blower or nitrous cams, and most I've seen are in the 224 reagion, like the FMS F7 224/230/114 with an advertised RPM rpm range of 1800-6800. Sounds really close to what you're looking for. But talk to Futral, and see what they recommend.

with all the info and opinions im recieving, im leaning towards the afr 205's and maybe the trex cam or a 224/224. if i go with the 224/224, should i go with a 112 or a 114? how will the 205's and the trex cam work out?

Why not get the AFR 224/228 grind that is designed for the head?

i havent checked on the afr cams but im guessing they are gonna be pretty expensive...prolly more than the $400 for the tr224/224 or the trex. if im spending so much on the heads id like to not spend a boatload on the cam. but i like the idea of going with something in the middle of the trex and the 224/224. i dont want something tame but i guess i dont really need something rediculously wild like the trex.

AFR 205's milled to 62CC, cometic .040 gasket AFR 6016 cam 224/228 114+1, cross all your I's and dot all your T's and you should be around 430-440 rwhp. With LG headers, EWP, Fast 90/90 this setup has made 480RWHP.

I think you would like FM13 or G5x2 (there is a sale on them now at LGM)

Can the fm13 run with the afr 205's? Just wondering because i know with some cam and heads set-ups you have to fly-cut the pistons. Not saying this si the case with the fm13 and the afr's, just have no idea about them. Thanks!

Yes on Both. There might even be some room for milling.
Unmilled for sure and with better clearances than stock height heads.

Lots of new heads will soon be released, but for now the AFR's are the best (their low and mid lift flow numbers simply kick ***). Call AFR about cam specs.

that's what i was going to suggest.or if you want something more radical, call AFR and see what they recommend as far as a bigger cam.they would know best what works with their heads.
