car acting funny...

car acting funny... one day, a few months ago my car acted really funny...almost acting like it was gonna die...kinda like a studdering feeling...when i glanced down at the rpms i was only idleing like 500 rpms and my oil gauge was jumping up and down lika below 20 psi....well it only did this for one day
BUT now a few months later it does this prolly onced or twiced a day but onced i start goin again or stop it doesn't do it again...
it has me baffeled...i use 87 gas (im cheap)
AND i changed oil yesterday to see if that would fix it...but nope it didn't...i also have a slight ticking comin from my motor but not a knock or anything...i think the ticking is a lifter but i dont think that'd effect the oil pressure
would it be the oil pump bout to go out on me?

you probably have fouled plugs due to the low octane fuel you have been running. But then it would do it alot instead of here and there.
