Default Main caps

My torque wrench is fucked up. Never clicked for me, seemed like it was off, but I kept going.
I broke a main cap bolt off.

Question is, can you remove the main cap with the motor upside down?? Without having to rebalance anything?? Or would it be easier to get a kit and back the broken bolt out??

Thanks in advance!

The motor is in the car and you are torqueing the mains? OK, I won't ask why..
Pull the cap off, fix it. Remove the bearing from the cap, clean the inside and the cap. Just make sure that the bearing is clean and properly aligned in the cap. Clean the block surface where the cap fits. Take your time, put some oil on the bearing before you put it back together. Get a good torque wrench. I bought a cheap clicker once. After one year it was off 10 lb at 60.

Motor isn't in the car, it is on a stand.

Well, I can't get the cap out thanks to part of the bolt pertruding into the block.
Gonna have to drill it out.

What do the main cap bolts get torqued to????
