6.0 build up , need some help
i have a stock 6.0 motor from a escalade. i want to go with some heads and cam , and ls6 intake . it must have some lope to it and i dont want to loose alot of low end torgue. must make 440rwhp or more .
can anyone give me a good recomnedation of a good set up to use .heads came , etc...
ok , lets say i went with a turbo later down the road . would the iron block be better than the aluminum LS1 ? ,

440 should be doable if you have some really badass heads and a decent cam, meaning probably some AFR 225's and at least a mid 240's duration cam. I had a 6.0 bored .060 over with stock heads, LS6 intake, ported TB, underdrive pulley and such but it went kaput on the dyno so I can't tell you what it made Nonetheless, the iron block is a great starting point for FI or N20 due to it's higher strength than aluminum. Of course it also weighs around 100 lbs more so it's a trade off. I personally would rather strength than the small weight reduction of an alum. block.
