Default Whats a good cam for a 402 LS2?

With stage 2 or 3 heads on a street car, what sized cam is decent for that set up? The car is an auto with a 3800 stall. Might be going to 6-speed later.

I like the 230-238 range cams. Tey will work well on a 402. Not overly aggressive but a nice street cam. I beleive TSP has there 231/237, MTI 232/236 and Futral has a cam in that range as well.

Our MS3 camshaft (237/242, .603"/.609", 113 LSA) has been a popular choice for those guys building strokers looking for some nice power but nothing overly aggressive. I, myself, am going with a 244/248 114 LSA in my 402 LS2 that's going in my '05 'vette. I'm topping it off with a set of PRC stage 3 5.3L cylinder heads, and hopefully I'll have it in the car and on the dyno within the next two weeks or so. We have some customers looking for a nasty hydraulic that's going with our 250/256. We've gone as big as a 257/264 in a 408 cid. It put down 539 RWHP in an M6 C5 through full exhaust.

We have a huge selection of camshaft to choose from for strokers, so feel free to call me at the number below, PM me, or e-mail me at trevor@texas-speed.com with what you're looking for in a camshaft (i.e. drivability characteristics, powerband, idle quality, etc.), and I will be more than happy to help you choose the appropriate camshaft for your setup and needs.

We have had great luck with our Big Stick!! 240/246 .600/.600 on a 112.

This is a new grind from Crane. We are about to dyno one of our 402's with a few different cam's and cylinder heads to see what makes what where Honestly if you don't mind a rough idle, and want to make good power all the way through the power band this is a great way to go!!
