Diagnose this problem

I've come to atleast 2 conclusions as to why this is happening.
I've come accross a 1999 Black Z28 6-speed that i plan to buy for a project. Will try to run cam only for a while but will be swapping out the bottom end later for a stroker. The car is a 6 speed and has 114K miles on it.
It is smoking, burning a little oil, you can see a little smoke but nothing Too bad @ idle while in park, and you can see it when accelerating a bit.
what is it more likely
A) Valve Seals
B) Piston Rings
C) Both A-B
D) Other (and what is it if D)
Let me know what you think and what i should do about it. I have a guy i know Used car salesamn that found the car and is gonna let me have it for a good price as a favor. He getting it form an Auto auction, test drove it said it is fine but does have the SES light but does feel ok. What you think it is? Is it worth buying if thats all thats wrong?

Depends on how cheap you can get it. Hard to determine what may be wrong without accually getting in to it. I would do a compression test or better yet a leakdown to get a better idea.

This is what happens if it is the valve seals. When the car is off the oil will drain past the seals and when the car is started up, will burn it off. Therefore you will have smoking during start until it burns it off. And will repeat every time the car is turned off.
If it is the piston rings it can smoke at any time, it will smoke more if you are using the gears to slow down on a M6, like around 3000+ rpms. Makes the car sound great doing that, but you will really burn oil if the rings aren't right.
1 quart of oil for around 2000 miles could be the valve seals.
1 quart of oil every 500 miles, I would look at the piston rings.
