Default Head gaskets

What is the thickness of our stock head gaskets? What are the benefits of a thinner head gasket is it better quench to a certain point? When would you want a thinner head gasket or a thicker one? Thanks.

Graphite > .053/.054
MLS .060

Safe street ideal quench between .035>.040
Benefits of tighter squish are reduced chance of detonation and better flame travel/combustion.
Also a thinner gasket increases SCR and therefore horesepower (in addition to better combustion which in theory increases horsepower)
