Tr220
Any GTO owners with the TR220?
I got zip at ls1gto.com so I thought I'd try here.
Im only looking for some feedback.
Im pretty sure this is the cam for me but Im always open for suggestions,
Im more interested in TQ gains than huge HP #'s as this little piggy needs some help getting off the line.
Also, reliabilty and minimal mantainance is a must.
Only looking for feedback..so big cam freaks need not respond,,,You will not change my mind
definately an excellent sleeper cam. idles like stock. fuel mileage remains unchanged. actually i got better fuel mileage with this cam.
Yeah, I looked into the TSP cams as well. I think its a toss up between them and Thunder Racing....both excellent in the performance arena. For that matter....most of the sponsers here are very good.
The .581 lift is a bit more than I want, tho. Trying to to stay in the .550 area.
And yes, The XE-R or similar lobe is a big factor.
Seems I'm of an ever shrinking minority here.
Big cams and Big #'s is the happening thing.
But all I want is to give the goat a little kick in the *** not create a Frankenstein's monster.
The car idles well at 850 rpm. It sounds very healthy with only a hint of lope. The untrained will think I just have a loud exhaust, those who know LS1 engines will know it is cammed.
The cam has excellent street manners.

Good luck.
Pick the cam you want, and then buy the next size larger
I have the TR224 cam on a 114 LSA. I love it everything about it, but I wish I went one size bigger because it left me wanting more.
The TR224 cam has a hint of a lobe, but like someone said, You just think its the exhaust note. You maybe disapointed in the 220.
The TR224 is a baby cam for sure by todays standard, but it sure runs sweet.
Check out my link. its my TR224 idling. See bolt ons
