Oil gallery plugs...installing
Can I do this in my garage?? Or does a shop need to install the plugs??
If I can, how do I go about it?
SAM98WS6 if you still post here...I saw you mentioned scanning in the shop manual directions. Would that still be possible?? I saw you mention that in a much older thread.
also there is a small plug for the oil gallery that "the book" said to JB weld all over it, I will also rivet the sides (strike the block with a small chisel to make two-three ridges of interference to stop the plugin its way out, just in case)
the freeze plugs are threades, just make sure you have a good thread sealer.
the oil plug install carefully with a mallet and a socket whrench,
its not hard, just use judgement with the whaking!
I used a GM parts guide to determine what I needed. Thinking I might have gotten too many of one thing here.
Also...any pics of where each goes?? I want to be certain!!

This is on the pass. side head.

Note the plug in the front near the driver's side skirt.

Driver's side block, 3 plugs

Pass. side block, one plug
Keep in mind, some plugs MAY be missing or not there, So take these pics with a grain of salt.
