Default Billet timing cover pics

This is a one-off, and pretty darned expensive, so I wouldn't expect to be able to buy one -- but -- a buddy of mine fabbed a couple of these up and sent me one

*** DISCLAIMER: This is unpolished, untouched, so its not as shiny as it will be when I'm done with it

Can you really even see it unless you have an aftermarket water pump? Still not to knock it, it is pretty slick!

and it looks like the top portion does come off like the QTP $5,000,000 dollar one.

Thanks guys, yea it was hella expensive. The top plate is completely removable, with a very thin frame around the edge. This thing gives you a TON of clearance for big timing sets, makes it really easy to change/adjust the cam without ever pulling the pulley

He DID say the price could get more reasonable with quantity, but since he's only one guy with a limited bank account there's no way he could come up with the money to make a bunch of them ahead of time. Not to mention, it'd still be a good chunk of money for a timing cover, even if it is pimptastic solid billet aluminum He might try going the "modified stock cover" route too, see if that can be done at a reasonable price.

He DID say the price could get more reasonable with quantity, but we're still talking 10+ units at somewhere in the 400 to 500 dollar range. ASk your buddy if he needs a new buddy to give one to

I may be interested. I tried to put the front cover on the other night and it seems that the oil pump mounting bolts are preventing the cover from going on flat due to the double roller shims. Maybe I was just real tired

Like I said guys, this is a one-off piece. I doubt he will be building more, he's followed his A.D.D. and moved into building other go-fast parts.

I haven't looked at a QTP cover, but it looks to be a really nice piece from the photos. Can't go wrong there, and they're readily available

Probably looks familiar because there are only so many ways to make a two piece cover that fits the same dimensions. They are totally different to me. Nice piece, we need competition to drive overpriced items down.
