Default magic number of 400 ft-lbs??

what could i do to my car to get that magic number of 400 ft-lbs, like the 2002 z06. obviously i could swap in a 2002 zo6 cam, but what other deficiencies in a 2001 ws6 could i fix to get the magic number of 400 for that big block torquey feel??

experienced responses please!!

....but wouldn't head work change the rpm range, possibly creating less low-end torque??

First you will need all the required bolt ons.
LS6 cam will not be enough, as stated you will probably have to heads as well.

No, putting a bigger cam in will create less low end torque and alter the RPM range.

You will more than likely have to do heads to get to 400rwtq. All bolt-ons and a good head/cam combo could get you there.

You can throw in the LS6 cam and valvetrain, heads, and intake (if you dont have an LS6 on there already) and you would be at about 400 flywheel tq like the Z06's. Now if your talking 400 rwtq then your gonna need a cam specifically ground for more torque and probably some better flowing heads as well. Also you will need full exhaust and tuning and probably an upgraded fuel system. As was already stated above a larger cam will give you more top end HP at the sacrifice of some low end toque.

I think you're talking fly wheel ft-lbs, not rear wheel ft-lbs.
400 ft-lbs = 340ish tq at the rear wheels- attainable with bolt-ons, stock heads, stock cam.

That is if you are talking flywheel horsepower.
