Default dual spring question..

should i be able to pull the inner spring out of the outer one with minimal effort?? I got some replacement PRC platinums (look good btw) and noticed they came out easily where as my golds didnt...i think..

Thats fine, just put them back together when you install them.

kick ***!! thanks Joseph! Say, if all the valve guides are the same color does it matter where they go?? Terry sent me all new ones, but they're all brown. Im going to swap the new springs over to some 243 castings.

Those brown ones are all exhaust valve seals. So they can be put anywhere. Rule of thumb is exhaust can be used on all, but intake can only be used on intake valves. The brown exhaust valves are obviously rated for higher heat, which is why they are universal. I got the same thing from PRC with my dual spring kit, all brown seals.

i was thinking it was more because of the size of the vavles, not the heat tolerance...good thing to know! thanks again!
