Default OIl pressure

Just curious if you guys have lower oil pressure after you change your oil?Changed mine tonight and it gets a little above 40 but not any higher. It did this the day i got my cam in then. The day after it got a good amount higher especially as rpms increased. Now after an oil change it barely gets above 40 again. Is this common?

i dont think its happening b/c of the oil change but b/c of the cam.. its usuall you need to get the car tuned then it should go back to normal..

So a tune affects the oil pressure?

If the car runs real rich it can waterdown the oil with gas. Thinning it out and lowering oil pressure.

did you put the same weight oil back in or thinner? that will make a huge difference. like 5w30 as opposed to 10w40. do you know what it had before you changed it. by the way the tune has nothing to do with oil pressure, but the only way the tune will affect the oil pressure is if the car is idleing really slow and the new tune makes it idle higher hence more oil pressure.
