Default Can anyone help with a shut off problem?

I just bought a 2000 ta (stock) and after about 15 minutes of driving everything will shut off while driving (engine, gauges, radio, etc). Then about 2 seconds later the car kicks back on, the lights on the dash flash on like you just started the car, and it picks right up cruising down the road again.

This happened once for the first time yesterday, the about 20 times it happened on the way to work this morning, then didnt happen this evening...

Anyone have any ideas on what to check? Battery cables and grounds look good and tight by the way.

Thanks for the help

i had the same thing once on my LT1. turned out to be a pos battery cable was chafing and would cause a short and ground out on the frame. did the exact same thing you are describing. I would check at night and see if you have any sparks anywhere. hope its something this easy. wiggle wires while you are doing this and see what happens. its worth a try. good luck

have to go with a grounding or bad battery cable problem like Sutter said. Check all the grounds as well make sure they aren't loose.

Yeah I would check the wiring first, before anything.
