Does anyone know what the max overbore for the 5.3 block is ????????

You can go up to 99mm from 96mm what that converte to in inches I'm too lazy to figure out but that is what the book by Will Hadzel says.

96mm would be 3.78" and 99mm would be 3.90"

I have seen these sonic test enough to go 4.00 no more (4.030). Wall thickness is about the same as the 6.0 when bored .060.

Firefighter is correct. 99 mm or 3.897" same as the 5.7 liter block. The 5.3 and 5.7 aluminum blocks are identical. GM used a thicker wall sleeve to reduce the bore diameter on the 5.3. I have machined several of these blocks for Darton MID sleeves.

how to build a hp ls1 says you can go to 99mm
