Default about to install tr224.....

i am about to have a tr224 installed on my 98ta. my current mods are hooker longtubes and cutout. My question is, how much louder or aggressive will the sound be. I am borderline obnoxious now with the headers and cutout. Should i cap it up and get a catback or will the noise pretty much be the same? thanks guys

I just did a TR224 a week ago. The noise only increased slightly. More of a tone change than actually louder. I hope that helps.

If it gets obnoxious then just keep the cutout capped until you need it open.

What catback do you have on right now? is it stock?

It will probably sound louder to inconsistent idle of aftermarket cams.

Not much louder, it is more of a tone change but a bit louder. It's pretty smooth and does give more power. I'd say, if your tired of the sound then I'd just cap the cut-out then it should be fine. I'm actually getting ready to buy me a cut-out so I can hear the cam more. Mines fairly loud because of my off-road y-pipe but it sounds good more than obnoxious.
