No. It will work as long as you are using the newer SFI ASP pulley.

I bought my ASP pulley at the begging of the year...you guys know when they started making/selling the updated ones. I have the SFI approved one if that matters. Just want to be sure before I install the chain.

I have the older ASP Pulley (5 years old) and it had to machined another 0.100" to clear the Rollamster Double Row Chain. The newer pullies (within the last few years) will fit with no additional machining.

I believe that all the SFI ones will fit. There should be a sticker on the face of the pulley that says whether or not it is SFI approved, unless it came off.

Yeah it has that yellow sticker on it. Is there anyway to tell other than the sticker? Or will it just be one of those things I will find out during the install?

If you bought it new this year it should be SFI approved.

I just understand why people feel the need for double rollers. Run the LS2 or the JWIS chain. Its good enuff for the C5R race team its good enuff for me.

I wonder if the C5R was limited to single roller by regulation though?

?
You mean you don't understand right?
People feel that there is more security in the double roller over several thousand miles and the occaisional trip to the track. The reason that they probably spin with a single chain is because it gets replaced after every race or so. as compared to 15,000-30,000 miles DD.
