Default GM Hotcam or what?

I had some sort of personal finding in myself to decide that I could care less about the 1/4 mile. I want a nice street car. So what I am asking is this: Is a GM Hotcam good for a street set up?

I'm not looking for anything too powerful. I just want something nice that will at least be up there around a C5-Z06. I know enough to hold my own about camshafts, but some advice would be great. Any suggestions?

Are you restricted by emissions testing? If not, you should go with something bigger yet suitable for daily driving. A futural cam would be a great choice.

Check out SDPC2000.com they have a whole kit for it with springs and all, and it is really reasonable too. and you said that you arent going to strip the car so you dont need high end parts.
