I need a set of heads that wont break the bank.
i have a set of gtp stage 2. the problem is they worked well with my 346 stock bottom end, but with the 402 my compression is to low. i need a set of heads that will work with my trex cam, or would it be better to just mill the heads to reach 62cc.

Im using the Patriot stage III LS6 heads on my 408. They are awesome so far. BTW- the combustion chambers on my heads are 62cc unmilled. With the stock thickness gasket, -15cc diamond pistons, I have a CR of 10.7-1. What kind of CR are you looking to get?

 

Mill your heads isnt a bad way to go. Milled AFRS, Darts would be nice but more $. You can buy a nice set of milled 5.3 heads cheap and sell yours to make alot back.

 

well im looking for about 11.0 or soo. im using -12cc dished pistons from mahle
also using stock heAD GASKET,im going to use after market gaskets when i change the heads. i think my comp now is like 10.2 os soo with my heads there 66 cc stock gasket.

 

If I had a 402 id probly put all pros on it.
