Default 4.8 cam question

i want to know what a good cam would be for a 4.8L with a whipplecharger in a 1970 c-10 truck street rod . 4lo60 with 20 inch wheels and tires . should i stay with the stock cam or change it out ?

whipple is a brand name of a twin screw supercharger .

I would go for something like this:

224/230 .581"/.592", 114lsa+1
Or for softer lobes
224/230 .568"/.573", 114lsa (this one is with no advance, straight up +0)

The VE's are specialy formulated for FI

IMO, you should send your heads to TEA for a Stage 1 or 1.5 porting, since 4.8/5.3 heads flow weakly in stock form, but with a port job, they are some of the best.
That ride will make tons of power.
