Default measuring combustion chamber on the head

Is it possible to do with the heads attached to the shortblock?

I'm trying to calculate my SCR and I cant remember what the exact cc of the heads is.

They are LS6 castings that I am guessing are milled about .035. That should leave them right around 60cc correct?

you probably shouldn't be guessing about things like this...call up where you got them from and find out

well its not a life/death situation

if the heads are 60cc, my SCR is exactly 11.5:1

I am trying to get away with as much as I can since I have a pretty big cam. I wouldnt mind being near 11.8 or so. I'd change the head gasket but the heads are already on the block.

http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/compstaticcalc.html
what info are you putting in there?
as in bore, deck height, piston volum etc?

(just curious mainly, but searching for milled specs of ls6 heads might help)

That one is either fubarred or I am not inputting the data correctly. I am using another calculator.

4.03 bore
4 stroke
.054 headgasket
4.1 bore headgasket
-9cc piston
-.005 deck height
60cc head

searching got me that .006 - .008 milled is about 1cc

a stock ls6 head is about 64.5cc

that why i am guessing that .035 milled is around 60cc

I've always used that calculator kumar
-9cc is a domed piston over there.
enter it as 9cc and its 11.55 fo rme
with a 58cc chamber you get 11.82

ya i was entering the piston as -9 like other calcualtors

but its all just a guess

if the heads are actually 62cc, then i am at 11.3:1 which isnt a big deal but might be leaving a couple hp on the table
