You would most likely know if you bent a rod. Ticking and power loss on the top end. Is the car stock?

Sounds to me it's just fine, but if you want to be sure its not to difficult to pull the valve covers off and check the rods yourself, just make sure you keep everything in order and retorque the rockers to 22ft/lb. While you're in there, might as well buy a cam, too.

The rev limiter is there to prevent damage to your motor in accident situations like this. If you didn't have one, a bent rod would be the least of your worries

i've hit rl many many many times, i don't think you can hurt anything with the stock rl in place. just don't miss a shift and mechanically over-rev the engine...

if you had a serious problem you would know by now like bent rod, broke pushrod, ect. the rev limiter is there to keep you from blowing up your motor its prob not goot to hit, but better than over reving that beast

hitting the rev limiter isn't all that bad it is putting the car in the wrong gear and over reving it that hurts the motor. Did that once to my old saturn beating on it. I threw 2 rockers in the over head cam didn't hurt anything just had to reinstall them.

no problems if u did'nt notice perf. lost. install a rev limiter light only use it to set for changing gears before rv. limit is hit. about 400 rpm's for light to come on, your reaction will be just before u hit limit. some to think about here.
