I had to replace my stolen SS, but I'm back on track for a H/C swap.
I'm still going with 62cc 5.3 heads and a Futral F14 cam.
This is going on an 02 SS so I'll be using stock injectors, LS6 intake and clutch.
I'll be swapping the rears to 4.10s. The heads are loaded with 2.02" Pro-flos and PRC gold springs (doubles). Exhaust will be FLP long tubes with interchangeble ORPs/cats. I'll need a new programmer and am thinking about getting another predator and using Runningwiththedevil for tuning (Along with the Mallory dyno facility.)
My question is: what are the special tools that I really want to buy right? I know I'll need a valve spring tool and a lifter pen magnet etc. I don't plan doing this often, but I don't want to buy junk.

Get a crane tool if you can spare a little extra cash, otherwise get a larry tool. Use 5/16 dowels to hold the lifters up, but buy atleast one pen magnet cause theyre an invaluable tool! Id seriously consider a tuning program over a handheld, even if you have to buy a cheap ebay laptop. Should be a nice car.
If you are interested in a very good Valve spring tool, check out what I am selling.
