Cam/Head setup
Im almost positive the heads are assembled, as the price ($1000+) should reflect that. That sucks though about cali emissions as headers help a ton in getting the car to breath properly with an aftermarket cam and heads. You might be better off going with a turbo or supercharger kit. Even though it is more expensive you could run 7-8 pounds of boost on your stock short block and see 450+ rwhp and still pass emissions. Just an idea to think about though. But if you do go cam/heads, 5.3's and 224 all the way. The 112 lsa might give off too much of a lope and a station might pick up on it but id check with someone who has run that cam and has passed. Well, when I do go to buy, I probably will get the TSP package: oil pump, timing chain, etc... with their 224R cam, and stage 2.5 PRC heads. LS6 intake, bigger TB, and that should be it. Maybe some suspenion mods, but I don't want to get stickier tires, since I don't want to put that much stress on my diff., axle, and driveshaft. It's my daily driver, and I can't afford to replace those. And no FI because it's an 87k mile daily driver...although, if they were to come out with a CARB certified manifold mounted (like roots, or twin-screw) supercharger, I would be *very* tempted.
