If a direct port setup is done, would intake manifold design still be an issue?

Also on many nitrous setups i have done for people on stock engines(imports) i used meth instead of fuel on the fuel side, the jet has to be almost two times the size of a normal fuel jet, but allowed for large shots 150-175 on stock 4cyl engines

do you guys mess with meth much?

david_rg : Direct port would be the safest way, due to better distribution. On large shots you tend to get uneven distribution which could cause some cylinders to run slightly leaner than other.

However, running a 150 wet shot (biggest shot you can run on a stock shortblock without sacrificing alot of reliability).. this is not necessary.

Honestly, a 150 wet shot on top of a 400rwhp cam only setup is going to be sick at that weight and offer the best bang for the buck. Other things such as heads, will kill your horsepower per dollar ratio. Besides, if your like me.. the closer you can keep it to stock.. the more reliable it will be.
