Default CheaTR cam kit from Thunder Racing?

Is the base kit good or do you think I should get the one with double valvesprings and titainium retainers? I'm not going to be drag racing it very often, probably something more like autoXing. Thanks, Tim.

I'm sure the springs you get with the kit from Thunder Racing should be fine. Dual springs will have more valvetrain noise.

If you get the AFR 205 heads, they already come standard with Ti retainers and dual valve springs. No upgrade necessary. Just bolt them up and go.

Oh, well I wont be getting heads anytime soon I don't think. So, just wondering if the kit would be sufficient and durable enough. I'm sure it will Thunder Racing is a top notch company. If anyone else has anymore insight towards this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tim.

There have been reports by people who have had to shim the singles to get them to work right with that cam - because of the aggressive intake lobe. Others recommend using duals for peace of mind. If you do a search, you will find user experiences and recommendations.
