Default Question about cam specs.

Ok.... I'm fairly new when it comes to cam specs and figured this would be the place to ask my question.

I just bought a bunch of parts: Shortblock, intake, etc etc, and i have also aquired a cam.

This is a Comp cam with the following specs...

236 intake duration @.050 lift
242 exhaust duration @ .050 lift
.601 intake lift w/1.7 rocker
.610 exhaust lift w/1.7 rocker
with a 110 lobe seperation angle

Now my question being can you quys tell me what this cam is good for?

I'm building a small bore 383 LS1 stroker, all forged, 90mm LSX intake, and plan on using this setup for mostly (90%) drag racing.

Is this cam good for nitrous? good for N/A? Basically can anyone tell me wht i have here, and what it's best use is, can i use this cam for my setup or should I go another route?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a good 383 cam to me. Will work well with N2O with the bigger exhaust duration & lift.

i don't like the 110 LSA for nitrous....if it were mine....it would be on either a 114 maybe even a 115 LSA (mainly because I LOVE nitrous)

You could spray that cam just because of the split and it would be ok. I have a 115 LSA and it loves the canned air!

and yeah, the 110 LSA was kinda making me wonder on how well this will work for spray.
