Default ls6 pcv

I will be replacing my ls1 inctake with an ls6intake. My brother told me about the PCV conversion that I should do while I had the intake off. Apparently this stops the oil consuption that goes with the stock ls1 engines, I found the how to on ls1howto.com but does any one know where to get the actual Posotive Crankcase Vetilation system at?????

Sorry to hijack, but has anyone tried to modify their ls1 valley cover. Seems like it wouldn't be too hard.

Those same parts can be had from GM wholesalers for about $70.

That's where I got mine. The ls6 valley cover part # includes the gasket and bolts. The driver's side valve cover grommet is a couple of dollars, and I used the red plug that comes with the new valley cover for the passenger side.

I don't think modifying an ls1 valley cover into an ls6 style is possible due to the pcv tube being plumbed directly into the valley cover itself. As cheap as the parts are, I don't think it would be worth it anyway.

This is a very worthwhile mod. I get virtually 0 oil consumption with mine.

All the part #s are on the ls1howto website under the ls6 pcv conversion. The only part of the conversion I was hesitant about was cutting the block casting in the valley. Once I got over that the rest of the work was really easy and well worth it. I'd been fighting kr and pinging for the past year with my car and the ls6 valley cover and relocating my catch can have eliminated those problems.
Part #s
ls6 valley cover, gasket, bolts: 12568002
valve cover plug: 12568011
you also need 3/8" or 5/16" rubber fuel line for the new pcv line (about a foot)

Yes you can. Same as the ls1 pcv, just plumb the lines from the pcv valve to the can and from the can to the intake. The only difference is the pcv valve comes off the valley cover instead of the back of the valve covers.
