I can't tell you how many times I've been told 2-3 weeks and it took over 6 months. I've yet to recieve a set of heads in less than 3 months, which is somewhat rediculous IMO.
ET heads right?

I was thinking about ordering a set of 255s. thats not good to hear

I understand your frustration. Took me almost a year to build my motor from all the hold ups. Took 6 months for je to build my pistons, then 4 months to get my machine work and balanceing done. It was worth it when I finally got to make some passes at the track. Hold on, and keep calling people tell they send you your parts. I'm waiting for your results.

Took me two years to get my project put together and running. I spent the first year accumulating parts, then the next year putting it together and installing it, then moving, detachments, and you name it came up. Well I finally get to drive it, and it was worth it. Still working out minor issues after getting some miles on it, and tweaking things.
I also had issues with recieiving the parts I had paid for, took nearly 6 months to get that straight, especially after receiving the wrong pistons. It was laughable at times, they sent me 8.5 to 1 pistons (3 months later) and after reviewing my order they admitted they sent the wrong ones. But instead of offering to fix it by sending out the correct compression pistons that I had requested they told me to deck my block, mill my heads, and run a thinner gasket. Lets just say they recieved their pistons back and I went with another company.

Default it sucks on the other side of the fence too

Phil,

We have had notheing but a fricken headache trying to get parts out of our vendors. We will take all the **** for everything though because it is our product at the end. You don't know how sick that it makes me that we have back orders out there that are as old as they are. We sure as hell don't want to let anyone down. We really hope to take care of all this crap down here at the PRI show this week. WE have so many heads machined and waiting on the shelf to be assembled. It seems as if someone in this world has eaten up every part we ever ordered. As far as Jesel, what a joke. we were confirmed an order last time you asked, " were those mine in that order?" we just got our first set red labeled down to the show.

Sorry that your project isn't going as smooth as it should of, at least from our end, we don't make vacuum pumps.

thanks,
cary

Cary,
I know the delay on the 2nd set of heads isn't you guys. The boys @ Jesel are another thing, I called them last week and they said that they should have rockers done this past monday, call tuesday and they say another week or so. I just want to put this monster together and try to go 150+mph. Thats all I want.

Hang in there man, immagine your aches and add to that 12000 miles. That is my situation.
I have to be so carefull to order the right part and sometimes it is damaged, wrong part or whatever.
But when it all comes together, it is always worth it.

The "two weeks" line seems to be the standard for the industry, it makes me BS everytime any vendor tells me that! Nothing worse than planning around someone's line of bull ****. "Two weeks" means please don't give up on us, we'll might have what you want in about 3 months!

Just be HONEST vendors!!!
