Default What do you think of this cam?

224/229 .615/.600 117lsa 114icl
-8 degrees of overlap
I'm really looking for a cam capable of 450rwhp with ported 2.02/1.57 LS6 heads. -With stock manifolds- But I want the cam to idle like stock with just a 50 or 100rpm bump and not hunt for idle like crazy all the time. I'd also like it to peak @ or before 6600rpm. I also plan on spraying it. Small shot though so not a big deal.

Thoughts?

I had a FM14 232/234 .598 112lsa cam and it was a great cam, but just not worth it everyday.

contact lt1dave, or EDC, their custom cams have been making killer numbers....in the ballpark of 460-475 hp on stock bottom end with heads. They also peak numbers at 6200-6400 rpms.

What do you mean by "not worth it everyday"? Drivability?

Lingenfelter GT11
Intake .631 215 @.050
Exhuast .644 231 @.050

There is your stock idle and stock exhaust manifold cam.

You look at the cheater cam? since you are keeping stock manifolds and all; along with a stock idle.

Idle hunting, have to push the clutch in every time you let off the gas, having to wait for 10 seconds or so after you start the car to move it, lope, car shaking etc etc.

Cheater cam is my number one choice right now, but I'm also considering a custom cam. Please try to stay on topic. The question is what do you think of the cam specs above?

Nope, not with stock manifolds.
CheaTR or LPE GT11 for that kind of setup.

and you'll be lucky to hit 420rwhp without supporting boltons.

Well I was planning on running an ASP pulley, port the TB. Stock LS6 intake but might go Fast 90/90 if it would get me to 450rwhp. But yeah I was thinking 420rwhp was about the limit. Anyone have any dynos of the GT11? I searched and found nothing in the dyno forum. What about the drivability of it? Thats some crazy lift and short duration. The split is huge too.

The split is to accomodate the stock manifolds (gases need more time to get out)
The lifts are for power/smoothness (contribute to stock behavior)

Look at the TR CheaTR same pattern, but smaller lift.
GT11 will out do the CheaTR by a few more ponies.
921's recommended (or similar capable springs)

Anyone have a dyno of a GT11? I searched everywhere and couldn't find one. I found a 6.0 LS2 that I THINK might have had one and it put down ~420rwhp through the stock exhaust, which is very impresive. It was over on the CF
