I hear good things about the AFR 205 Heads.
What ever you do don't get sucked into buying the Patriots. I have had a set of PP 5.3 Stage two heads for 15000 miles and started get a lot of valve train noise. We took the valve covers and rockers out and three of the valves were bad. One of them was so bad that it was ready to drop into the motor. That would have took out the motor. We took the heads off the car and took them to Jerry Arnold (a well know expert in the area). I also took him my stock heads to see which would be better to use. When flow tested the stock heads flowed better than the Patriots. That is probably why I only saw a 0.3 sec and 2 mph increase from doing both the heads and the cam. After Jerry ported and reworked the heads they are flowing much better.
The moral of the story is pay more now to get something that will perform well and won't take out your motor in a couple years.
Good Luck,
Al
P.S. I know Patriot is saying that they have fixed there issues but they were saying that when I bought my heads in June 2004. When are we suppose to beleive them? Now or then.
