Which Forged pistons and rods... I need some opinions on pistons and rods for a blown LS1 running 800rwhp. I wan't a drop in replacement for the stock bore. My motor is a 2004 LS1 and only has 3800 miles on it. I want about 9 to 9.5/1 compression. What are you running. Any part numbers and suggestions would be helpful.

If you are on a budget, have a look at the Diamond 11503's and Compstar rods.
The pistons are 8.6cc dish and the rods are true LS1 with ARP 2000 bolts. Call Diamond and Compstar for HP ratings.
FWIW, the pistons are 2000 series alu as opposed to the Mahles which are 4000 series. Not to start a debate, but JE, Wiseco, Probe and Diamond are same material.
If you like the Mahle full dish, but not the material, then Wiseco has them.
As far as CR goes, with the DIamonds and 66 cc heads, you'll be just under 9.5 with .053 gasket.
